So What Wednesday

Wednesday again so time for a link up.  This week I'm saying So What If....

  • I own so much nailpolish and I still went yesterday for a mani/pedi and I loved it.
  • I  have two books that I'm pretty far into and I'm enjoying them both but neither is what I want to be reading right now.  I can't start another book and have three going. I know I will start to get them confused.
  • my son chooses Moat and Money as the two words that start like mouse for his homework.  Not sure they are what I would have come up with but its what you get when he does the work himself.
  • I really really really held my tongue when he was doing his about me family tree project.  I let him dig through my supplies and create away but I really really really wanted to balance it out ;)
  • I just made my tv chart (You can see it here) and while watching SYTYCD I saw a commercial with Geoff Stults in it and had to look it up on IMDB since I surely need to watch it.  Turns out its a show called Enlisted and I'm not sure its even in the fall lineup so maybe a mid-season replacement.  Not sure but I will be looking for it. I loved him in October Road and I'm still hoping for another good show from him.
  • I have so much to do today and I just want to sit here online and chat with everyone :)
So that's my list this week. What is yours?

Monday Morning Musings

Wow we had a busy busy weekend. I'm not even really sure where all the time went.  We did some shopping and went to the NCState football game and met my family for brunch on Sunday however we forgot that they can't serve alcohol here until noon on Sunday so meeting at 11 wasn't the best idea ;)  It was Military Appreciation Day at the football game and they unraveled a huge flag at halftime.  I love when they do this and N couldn't take his eyes off of it.

We have another decent week this week. School everyday and N has his first project due this Thursday so we will be working on that at night.  C has preschool a couple days and today we have a play group up at our clubhouse for him to play. Ms grandma and aunt also come in this weekend so we will be getting with them later in the week.

Let's see what boxes should I be getting this week?  I'm pretty sure I should be getting Ipsy and Sweet Pea Box this week with Citrus Lane, POPSugar and My Paper Pumpkin next week.  I'm not sure when my Wantable will come but later this month I think. I know I'm probably forgetting some  but they will be a surprise then ;)  I also ordered a bag from Twice and I'm going to try and fill it and get it sent back out pretty quick.

In case you missed it I posted my Fall 2013 TV chart yesterday. You can see it here.  To get ready M and I are working our way through season one of Revolution.  We are really liking it and its just so scary to think something like that could really happen.  How screwed would we all be if the power went off. I shudder just to think of that.

Well I think that's my week at a glance.  What are you up to this week?  Anything fun and exciting?

Fall TV 2013

So as you probably know I am a TV junkie. I love love love tv. Not that I sit and stare at most of the shows I watch but I love having it on when I'm working and doing other things.  So each season I make a chart so I know where I will have conflicts and how to set up the Tivo so that I get all the shows I want.  Guess what today was?  Yeap TV chart day. This is a very exciting day for me. ;)

So this is what I'm starting with this year.  I'm not sure I will keep all of them since I never do but these are the ones that I'm already either watching or ones that spark my interest. Some of them I will let record for a couple weeks and if they aren't cancelled right away then I will try them out. Dracula and Reign I'm speaking of you.  My conflict day is Thursday at 8 since I can only record 2 shows at a time so Wonderland may be the show that gets the boot but there could always be some schedule changing once things get started or I could possible watch it on demand.  I have also been known to record a whole season of  a show and watch it over the summer so just because its on at a certain time I certainly don't think I need to watch it then.

I did drop a couple shows from last seasons chart. Some were cancelled Partners and CSI:NY and others lost my interest so I didn't make it through the season Nashville, Beauty and The Beast and others are ones that I watched for years but decided they have just run their course and it was becoming a chore to watch Hawaii 5-0. Criminal Minds and Mentalist.  I'm curious to see what from this years chart will make the drop list this year.

What shows are you looking most forward to this season?  I only do normal channels on my chart since the cable channels seem to re-show the episodes over and over during the week so I can always record it at another time but I do watch lots of non-network shows too ;).  Am I missing anything I need to add to my watch list.  Let me know and I will check it out.

Friday Phone Dump

Friday and time for the weekly Phone Dump link up.

C had his first day of preschool this week and as much as he looks happy in the pictures he was not happy when I passed him off.  I just passed him over the gate and walked out. They said he calmed down in a few minutes and when I picked him up he said he had fun and just jabbered the whole way home about what he did. I have no idea what all he was saying but he was excited so that is a plus.

We stopped at Nana's house last weekend and both boys came home with a pine cone so we decided to make some bird feeders.  We had some bird seed so we bought some peanut butter and they went to town.  Let me tell you this sounded so much more fun then it was for me. ;)  They had a blast but boy what a mess. LOL

And onto some of the other random pictures we have from this week.
 - My labor Day mani.  I used my Julep Ally which is the blue and then used Fireworks which is the glitter as my top coat.  I was feeling very patriotic.
 - This was the boys the morning of Cs first day. They were eating leftover pizza for breakfast and watching Curious George.
 - Cs idea of a drive in ;)
 - Doesn't everyone play Dominos while sitting on the table in their PJs in the middle of the day?

So those are my pictures this week. What did your week look like?

Thursday Thoughts

Linking up again for some Thursday Thoughts:

  • I think I'm just a little too excited that Amanda should be going home tonight on BB.   She is so full of herself and I don't see how she doesn't understand she is doing exactly what she is blaming other people of doing. I just hope the rest of the houseguests don't screw it up and keep her.

  • Day 2 of preschool for C and he kept saying he was really excited to go but sure enough when we got to his room he screamed and screamed. I just passed him off and left. They tell me he calms down quickly and he tells me he had a great time when I pick him up but yes I am that mom with the screaming kid. :)  Next week starts carpool drop off so we'll see how that goes in the morning. I'm hoping that it works out better with the drop off.
  • M and I have started watched Revolution.  It was a show I wanted to watch last season but someone we missed it so glad that we are catching up so far. It will be on my TV chart ( that I still need to do) this season.

  • I'm so not concerned that I let C go out to lunch yesterday wearing Ns rainboots.  They are way to big and no it wasn't raining but compared to his mismatched crocs I think we were doing pretty good.
  • Is it sad I'm excited that M is working tonight and I can do Beef and Broccoli for dinner. He will eat it but its not his favorite and I can add all the veggies in there that he doesn't care for. N and C usually try it but they might just have a grilled cheese sandwich with it.  N is always starving when he gets home so he may just do an early dinner.
Well those are my random thoughts this week.  I've got a bit of a cold or something going on so I've been watching alot of tv probably why its on my brain so much.

Did you link up this week?  What are you thinking about?

So What Wednesday

It's So What Wednesday and this week I'm saying So What If:

  • I spend my three kid free hours shopping yesterday. :)
  • M and I just started watching Revolution and we've watched 5 episodes in the last two days.
  • I had no idea who the leads for 50 Shades were until yesterday. I need to investigate more to see what I think. Not my first choices but I knew my choices were out due to scheduling anyway. I'm sure it will be good regardless.
  • I like watching the cast reveal of DWTS but I don't watch the show regularly.
  • C is currently eating chips and salsa and grapes for breakfast.

What are you saying So What to this wee?

Stampin' Up Yard Sale

As I posted the other week I help my friend every year run her yard sale. This isn't your normal yard sale but one that is only for discontinued and retired Stampin' Up supplies.  Its run like a consignment sale and consignors get credit for new products.  Shoppers get a great deal on products.  Let me just say this is a crazy and fun event. If you are in the Raleigh/Cary, NC area send me a message with your email and I will get you on the email list for next years sale. ;)

Here are some of the pictures of the sale. It takes over her whole downstairs and into her garage and sunroom.  She has things by category so you can look for specific things if you want to.

And here are some of the ladies right before we let them in

And then inside shopping. I work the checkout line so this was right before I sat down and got to work.

It truly is a fun and crazy day. If you are a crafter and love Stampin' Up products then this is a sale for you.

And I posted this the other day but here are the great ladies that worked the sale with me.  My stamping ladies.
