Friday photo dump

Jennifer over at Ramblings of a suburban mom is having a link up and I'm joining in. Since I don't have an Iphone and when I looked at my droid I hadn't taken any pictures with it this week I'm sharing a couple from my camera. :)

This is actually the Thank you card I designed for the boys birthday party.  Since I finally got them sent out and delivered this week I figured I could share with you. I used Stampin' Up s My Digital Studio to design it.

These pictures are from Ns Easter hat parade at his preschool this week.  They paraded in with their hats and then had an egg hunt. I loved his hat. His class is the Owls so they made owls sitting in a nest. It was so creative.

So that's all my pictures this week. I'm sure to have way more next week with the boys being on Spring Break and Easter and shopping. :)

disclaimer: That is my SU link up there. If you order through me I do get commission. If you are interested in trying My Digital Studio you can get a free one month trial.  Just look for it in my store or contact me for more info.

Thursday Thoughts

Its Thursday so that means its time to link up with Thursday Thoughts over at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom and I'm totally linking up.  If you haven't checked out her blog its awesome and a great read.  She's also an enabler to my subscription box addiction but shhhh don't tell anyone ;)

Now onto my musing of the day.

  • N starts spring break today and we might just stay home and play Skylanders all day.  We   He only has the starter pack with three characters but I think we need some more. What is the average number of Skylanders that people have? I'm curious since if it were me I would probably get online and buy them all. LOL who wants to play a game without all the pieces? I'm totally not getting the point of that.
  • If we do play all day then C will get alot of Ipad time. Its the only time this works since they always are fighting over whose turn it is. I know this will get worse as C gets older. So who in my family is going to upgrade soon so my little guy can have his own ;)
  • Last weekend was so busy I didn't get to play with my new Paper Pumpkin box yet and with leaving for Easter this weekend it will probably have to wait until I get back. :(
  • So what is everyone doing for Easter? We are heading to my mom's house and after church having lunch at the Speedway Club and then we'll do dinner at my dad's house.  The boys will get spoiled at both and have tons of fun hunting eggs.
  • Next week while the boys and I are staying at my moms I really want to hit the Pottery Barn Outlet. I'm itching to do some simple new decorations for spring/summer and I love walking around in there.  Hmm I wonder if my brother is off and can watch the boys.  I know the next text I'm doing today.
So that's what I'm thinking about this morning. What is on your mind?  Link up and share your thoughts.

Friday Iphone Dump

I'm so glad that Jennifer over at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom is doing a link up. I told her since today was my birthday she had to do it so I figured I better make time to link. :)  Since I don't have an Iphone these are from my Droid and as you know getting the boys to stay still for a phone pic is so hard. Sorry for the blurs.

This was from this morning. C kept saying that his birthday cake needed batteries. N and I tried to tell him it was just turned off  but he was having nothing too it and decided he would change them himself. I do think he has his daddies fix it skills already.  Not sure if that's a good or bad thing in a 2 year old.

This needs to go in my Oh Caleb folder.  The other night I was working on dinner and he and N were doing "art"  well I turned away for a few seconds and look who has a mustache?  Yeap that's my boy.

We totally took advantage of the spring like weather the last couple days of winter. LOL now that its actually spring it is way to cold for this. :)  Jennifer we are using some old tupperware trays we "borrowed" from my mom. The boys thought this was so cool

We bought the first of our garden this week too.  A strawberry planter and some lettuce.  I had to bring them in yesterday but this is the location that N wants to grow the strawberries.  I guess we will see how it goes.

I did not put N to bed on the floor next to my bed but this is where we found him when we went up.  And yes before you ask he sleeps in his clothes most nights. Its just not worth the battle to get him to change.

N wants me to include this one. He won this duckie in a claw game at the local pizza place last week. He was so excited and calls it his new best friend.

So that's the look at our week.  How is your week looking? Big plans for any ones weekend?

Supernatural Convention Pages Part 1

So the convention has been over for a week and I've been home almost  week so whats better to do then start sorting through all the pictures.  Being a scrapbooker I took tons of photos and have posted some to FB but I also wanted to do some quick scrappy pages.  I was going to sit down and work on them but then I decided to use Stampin' Ups My Digital Studio (MDS) and do some digital pages. This is a great way to have some variety in my convention book.  I'm still learning MDS but I have a ton of fun playing around and trying out new ideas and things. There are so many choices and the ideas are endless.

So are you confused with a con yet?  Its a great experience where the guest stars participate in Q&A panels, autographs, pictures, social events etc.  The Supernatural ones are held multiple times a year in different cities. Last year we went to Nashville and this year we went to VEGAS!!!  There will be some Vegas pictures to come but that all depends on when I get motivated to do those. ;)

Happy Crafting!!!
Jenny

disclaimer: Yes I'm still a Stampin' Up demonstrator so if you are interested in MDS or any other scrappy stuff just ask away.

March 2013 Ipsy Review

My Ipsy bag was here when I came home from Vegas but I was so busy catching up I didn't get a chance to open it right away.  Being gone also meant I hadn't seen many spoilers so it was a nice surprise opening my awesome pink mailer.  Have I said before how much I love that mailer? Its so pretty in my mailbox each month.

I tried to use a piece of paper so you could see the products better. They were blending in with my counter. I hope this helps. This months theme was the great escape and came with the cutest info card. I didn't take a picture of it but it is so cute and has a whale on it.  Love it I just wish they had more info on the products. The info is online but I like reading the cards.  The bag this month was in that theme. I'm not a big nautical fan so not exactly my cup of tea but its a nice size and can hold alot of items so I'm sure to put it to some use or trade it with someone who loves nautical.  The other items are:

  • Juice Beauty - Hydrating Mist - I'll admit I've never used something like this but I know some people who love them. With the humid summers coming up in NC I'm sure I'll be giving this a try.
  • LA Fresh - travel lite makeup removers - This is a cute little travel size of wipes. I admit I'm horrible when it comes to taking my makeup off when I do wear it but I love these types of wipes in my travel bag. I'm more likely to wear more makeup when I'm away so these come in handy.
  • GlamRX - So I should have really showed this open for you. Maybe when N brings my camera back but it is a cute compact with space to hold the eyeshadow.  When you open the case it has a mirror on the top and a magnetic slot on the bottom. The little pots of eyeshadow  are metal so the stick right in there.  This has got to be one of the coolest ideas every.  Love it.
  • Yaby eyeshadow - These are to go in the holder. I've been reading that other companies make eyeshadow with metal pots too so I'll have to look into those. I got the colors Dune and Vein.  A little out of my comfort zone but with my dark eyes I should be able to pull them off.
So over all this month isn't over exciting but I will get some use of everything so good all in all.  Did you get an Ipsy bag this month? What did you think?

Tupperware

So as I said I had some Tupperware boxes here when I came home.  They had some great deals in February and I just had to take advantage of them.  Then as luck would have it the author of one of my favorite blogs is  now a consultant for them so I was able to order through here.  :) Check out here blog Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for lots of great information on Tupperware, life and having a subscription box addiction.

Are you as excited as me. :)  The bowls were actually BOGO so I have another set of them here for my mom. It was like Christmas this morning as I was digging through.  I'm ready for my produce box deliveries to start up now and once I get some chalk labels for the canisters I'll  be ready to organize my pantry some.  I'm not sure how the pantry can get so crazy so fast in there but these will certainly help.

So excited and I can't wait to get going and organizing. Do you use Tupperware? I have some cheap stuff here but it really just does not compare. I'm going to be cleaning it out and replacing as I go.

Birchbox March 2013

So I'm back from a week in Vegas and I have a ton of reviews to do and pictures to post but since my Birchbox came today I decided to start with it. :)  I do need to train hubby a little better since Saturday he sent me a text saying I got tupperware, usps boxes, knitcrate, ipsy and some travel documents but it was not followed with a picture.  Really why tease me when you aren't going to take pictures. I'm going to need to work on that.

These are the cutest little boxes and my friend (Hi Kristin!!!) reuses them with Stampin' up papers and uses them as gift boxes. I can't wait to give it a try so watch out if you are getting a gift from me soon. ;)

This months theme is March Madness and says that this box is filled with products that make the cut- from up-and-coming rookies to veteran all-stars.

This month I got box 25 and it was heavy when I opened it. Since I've been gone the last week I hadn't looked at any spoilers so the whole box was a surprise to me and as much as I like that I know I will peak again next month ;)

Here's what I got:

  • Macadamia Natural Oil - Deep Repair Masque -- This sounds interesting to me and my hair is pretty normal but I will give this a shot and see how well it looks.
  • Supergoop! - SPF 30+ Everyday UV Lotion for Face and Body -- There are two of the SPF wipes. I've never used this brand but I will keep the wipes on hand for when the boys and I make an unexpected park visit.
  • Benefit - Benetint -- This has me really intrigued. LOL the card that came with it says that it was created by an exotic dancer who was on a quest for rosier nipples. Hmm not what I will be going for but it does say that people now use it for a smudge-proof stain for lips, cheeks or anywhere else. ;) Now if that description doesn't make you want to give it a try then I'm not sure what will.
  • Macadamia Natural Oil - Healing Oil Treatment -- This is what was making my box so heavy. Its a bottle of lush macadamia nut and argan oils.  It also says it has a bonus of cutting down on drying time. Now that is something I'm interested in.  Wish I would of had this with me in Vegas last week.
  • Whish - Shave Crave Shaving Cream -- This is an organic shea butter shaving cream and it smells awesome.  Its a great size so I can see stashing this in my travel bag. Again why did I not have this for my trip.
  • Madewell - Emery Board -- not sure how they knew I needed this but emory boards are one of those things that I always seem to need and I never remember to buy. I've already put this one in my bag.
All in all I think this was a pretty decent box.  I've not tried any thing I got and some of them are very interesting.  If you are still curious Birchbox is a monthly subscription box that costs $10 a month and you get a box of samples to try.  You can then review the products and get points to use towards full size products in their shop.

So did you get a box this month? What did you think?

March and Vegas!!!

It is officially my birthday month and I am kicking it off by heading to Vegas with a friend for a convention for the show Supernatural.  I love the show and last year we went to Nashville so this year we are kicking it up Vegas style. I have been to Vegas before but it has been a very very long time.  Pretty sure my sister was about 6months old and she's now 18. LOLso yeah its been awhile. Since I'll be gone I won't be around much this week but I will be back next week with a full report and some great pictures I hope.

Have a great week and I will be back in a little bit.
