Fall TV 2017 - TV Talk

So I've been bad at neglecting my blogging over here but you can always catch me doing reviews over at Hello Subscription if you want to check out what boxes I'm loving right now. But when FALL rolls around and my Entertainment Weekly comes in the mail you know I have to be over here and blog my TV chart. I'm not sure if my EW came late this year or if they just sent it out late but mine came in the mail today and I sat right down to watch the Twilight marathon on Freeform and go through it.  I've only done a quick look so far and I will go back through it to reread every drop of information incase something catches my eye a second time but this is what I'm thinking of so far.

Like last year I don't see as many overlaps in shows as I have in the past. I think each year I get fewer and fewer series that I have to DVR each week.  That is not a bad thing and some of the shows I like won't be back on until mid-season so they didn't make this chart and I'm pretty sure there are some other shows that the networks will fill in when one of the new ones doesn't do as expected but here is what I'm going to start with.

Here is the chart......

So lets check it out for a quick daily thoughts.

Sunday - This is the slowest Sunday night I've ever had.  The only shows I plan to watch are the Walking Dead and then its companion Talking Dead.  That just seems crazy to me but with as busy as Sunday night's usually are in getting the kids ready for school its probably a good thing.

Monday - I'm adding a new show on Monday's: The Gifted.  This and Inhumans that I'm going to try on Friday seem like very similar shows to me so not sure I will keep them both but I want to give them a try. I really enjoyed Supergirl last season so I hope that it keeps up the goodness this year.  Scorpion is a silly show but M and I both like it so its an easy one for us to put on when we both want something to watch.

Tuesday - So last year I said This is Us had all the hype and it was rightfully so.  I'm in love with the show and I can't wait to cry each week. It is often hard for a shows to go into is sophomore season and keep up the greatness of the their first season but if any show can I'm betting on This is Us. I can't wait to check in with them again.  The CW also moved Legends back over here after Flash and I like those shows together.  Legends moves around a lot but I think most people record it so it doesn't really matter which night it plays on. We will watch it when we want.

Wednesday - My oldest son N loves Speechless so he wanted me to make sure it made the chart. He's not a huge TV watcher so when a show comes on that he likes I try to accommodate.  I'm a HUGE David Boreanez fan and I'll follow him about anywhere so of course I'm trying out Seal Team.  I'm hoping it is as good with him as his other shows and I can watch it for years to come.

Thursday - So this night will be taken up with my boys.  I'm never getting tired of Supernatural and they did a big change up at the end of last season so this one should be wackadoodle and I can't wait for the ride.  So much has changed and so many things are different I'm beyond excited.  Arrow is now following them and that works for me too.  It is the darkest of the CW shows so I usually save and binge a couple weeks at a time for it. I only make sure I'm all caught up before they do a cross over with the other shows.  Arrow is so serialized it is best served in doses.  Oh let's not have me forget Will & Grace is back!!!!  I loved it the first time and I squeel each time I see a commercial for it now. Thursday is by far going to be my hottest tv night.

Friday - Once Upon a Time is doing a reboot this season and with it they moved it to Friday. I'm not sure how that works for it but I'll be recording it. I want to see how they start the show over with still using some of the main original cast.  They are also putting the new Inhumans show on after it and like I said above I'm betting I watch either this or the Gifted but I can't decide which one yet so they both get recorded to start.

Looking at my review from last season I started with 16 shows down from 27 in 2015 and this year I'm at 17 but I know some won't last.  A couple of my shows I know will be back at midseason like: Elementary, Originals, Timeless, Younger, and the Arrangement so they aren't listed above but will make the chart eventually.  I'm pretty excited for my returning shows and just so-so with the new shows, but I'm hoping at least one of them changes my mind. I think last year was such a great year for new shows there wasn't as many openings this year so they are resting an their tride and true which is ok but not always the best so we shall see.

Ok now I need to get on and set the DVR for the new shows and make sure the others are still on their and ready to go.  Are you ready for the new season? What show are you most excited to come back?  Do any of the new shows catch you eye?

Happy watching!

Why stay at a Deluxe Resort at Walt Disney World?

One of the questions I get the most from my clients is whether the deluxe resorts and villas are worth the extra money when you "just need somewhere to sleep". My answer to this is and always will be YES!!! Your resort can completely enhance your magical vacation by being an experience in itself and add the most important part, VALUE!! Who doesn't want to get the most bang for their buck?!! Although there is a Disney resort to fit every budget and you will get the same Disney standard of service at every level resort, here are just a few reasons why my family chooses Deluxe as our preferred level of Disney resort.
°o° Multiple modes of transportation (monorail, boat, walking distance vs. bus only)
°o° when taking bus transportation there aren't long queue lines at your resort. So no waiting in your first line of the day BEFORE you even arrive at the parks!
°o° Full Kitchens in the 1, 2, & 3 Bedroom villas!! And guess what? You don't even have to do the dishes! Mousekeeping will do them for you! I can even arrange grocery delivery for your family as well!
°o° Don't feel like cooking on your vacation? Stay at a deluxe resort and all of your favorite resort restaurants are basically right outside of your resort room door! No worrying about transferring buses and making it on time. Here are just a few:
• Ohana - Polynesian
• Chef Mickey - Contemporary
• Yachtsman - Yacht Club
• 1900 Park Fare - Grand Floridian
• Boma - Animal Kingdom Lodge

°o° Bigger Beds!! Deluxe resorts have queen & king size beds vs. double beds at the value resorts.
°o° Ever had to wait in the ginormous bus lines when Illuminations is over and every single guest is exiting EPCOT??!! Not fun. If you are staying at Yacht & Beach Club or Boardwalk, you don't have to. Literally within walking distance or a short boat ride from the International Gateway (back entrance to EPCOT), you will be asleep in your bed before other guests even get on their bus! Talk about convenience!
These are just a few reasons why booking a deluxe resort for your next Walt Disney World vacation could take it to another level of magic and excitement. I will be featuring the different deluxe resorts and villas throughout the next couple of weeks. So stay tuned to learn more!
I'm doing a whole series on the different deluxe resorts over on my Facebook page so jump over and check it out  www.facebook.com/jennyatlovethemousetravel

Glamper Greetings Card

This post may contain affiliate links but all comments are my own

I'm developing a pattern of making cards when my house is full of boys playing. What can I say I work great in the chaos. I'm still inspired but this month's Paper Pumpkin kit that I shared over on my friends HelloSubscription Blog .  Using watercolor pencils and then an aqua painter for a quick background is so easy and quick and I'm obsessed with it.
First up was to grab my starters and decide what to do.

Since I had decided to use Glamper Greetings I wanted to do a ground and sky look so Old Olive and Pacific Point pencils were used.

After I scribbed I used my aqua painter to blend it all in. Since it is a camper kind of card I left it with some hard edges and deep color.

There are two steps to the camper with the outline and then the lines that go inside it. Since I wanted to get it lined up just right I used my Misti so I could line it up easily. The Misti is great for stamping and getting things just where you want them.

Once I got the camper just the way I wanted it. I just needed to decide on a sentiment and the "This is How I Roll" one in this set just makes me smile. I didn't want it to jump out too much so I just took a scrap of Whisper White paper and sponged it with Old Live so that it blended a bit and stamped on it.  I was then able to dig in my ribbon stash and add the great Dapper Denim 3/8" Rouched Ribbon. I love the look of this ribbon and have been using it on lots of projects this year.

I added a crumb cake base to the card so that it would open up and still have that touch of rustic feel.

I'm really loving this technique and how quick and easy it is but how cool it looks when done. There are so many ways you can take it and you can do so many different color schemes with the watercolor pencils. I'll admit when I first got them I thought I would mostly be coloring things in with them but really I haven't colored anything in yet.  I've been doing more large color backgrounds and they are all fantastic. I'm having so much fun.
What is your favorite thing to do with the watercolor pencils?
Happy Crafting,
Jenny

Monday Musings

This post may contain affiliate links but all comments are my own.

Busy and hot weekend around here and now we are into the middle week of the boys track out.  With the weather so awesome my boys spent so much time outside with friends that I got to get crafty and make cards (I posted one yesterday) and play with my new Cricut.
I was looking around the house for things I could use and so I was able to put something on a pot and a little holder. C already took the holder and put markers in it on his desk. I'm still playing around with all the features in Design Space and learning my way around so this was great. I was telling my friend that I needed to find more items to add vinyl to and she went through her random stash and brought me so many goodies to play around with. (Thank you Kristin!!)  I can't wait to play some more.

Then with all the kids in my house taking a sun break and playing Mario Cart. I made the card I posted about yesterday and also started working on my planner for the week. I love to decorate my pages and while I don't go all out I love to add some stickers and extras as I go. This week I used all Erin Condren supplies on my pages. They work great since I use the Erin Condren planner which I still love. I use the monthly pages for all of my clients travels and their booking information and then I do the weekly as I go each week. I try and get it started on Saturday or Sunday for the next week but most times it is Monday morning when I'm doing my weekly emails and mailings that I get to it.  I love the time to sit and think about the week.

This is a busy week for us. We are planning on going Strawberry picking and then if the weather holds out we are going to check out Carowinds and maybe Reed's Gold Mine. If it rains then we will do pottery and shopping.  I'm actually pretty good with either option. :)

It was a good weekend and now I'm ready for the week!
Have a great one everyone,
Jenny

Hey Chick! Card

This post may contain affiliate links but all comments are my own.

I had a house full of kids playing Mario Cart today so I took a few minutes in my craft room to knock out a card.  I was still inspired but this month's Paper Pumpkin kit that I shared over on my friends HelloSubscription Blog .  Using watercolor pencils and then an aqua painter for a quick background is so easy and gorgeous and I couldn't wait to try it out some more.
I knew how I wanted to start my card so I grabbed my  new watercolor pencils and a scrap of my watercolor paper and looked them over.
I could not wait to get my  new watercolor pencils and having them come in my matching Stampin' Up colors is fantastic. That is really one of my favorite things about Stampin' Up in that the colors are all matching and coordinate. It makes creating and designing so easy.

Right away the Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight jumped out and me and I knew exactly what stamp set I could use them for.

For this card I scribbled the two pencils onto my paper with a heavy hand so that I would get a rich color when I added water.  I'm a fan of the aqua painters for this technique but you could use a paint brush or whatever your favorite blending tool is.

Here is my base once I had blended it out.  I then used my Misti and my new Hey Chick stamp set to get the placement right where I wanted it to be. I somehow didn't get a picture of that but I am in love with my Misti and how easy it makes stamping in a certain spot on a card.

Here it is one I got it stamped and since I decided it need a bit of shine so I went over it and added a little wink of stella to the card. I love how the stella gives it just a peak of shimmer.

I'm a messy stamper so one way I keep my stamps clear and not have ink all over everything is to use the Lawn Fawn Shammy.  It is so great and you just wet it and then put the stamp on it once done. As you can see mine is well loved and all of the stains don't hurt it at all.  I also used the memento ink for my stamping.

As I said above I used a scrap piece of water color paper so it was not enough to cover the whole front of a standard size card. No worries I just selected a card base and then added some of the super fun glimmer paper that I also got during Sale-a-bration.  You can never have too much glitter! This is a very low profile card so great for mailing and even without a lot of embellishments I LOVE it and think it really stands on it own.
Hey Chick! So what do you think? This stamp set is so fantastic and when sale-a-bration was going on I knew I had to get it. While it is no longer available you could easily do this same technique and idea and go with any stamp set.

What are you crafting today? I hope you are having a fantastic time creating.
Happy stamping,
Jenny

Currently

This post may contain affiliate links but all comments are my own.

It's been awhile since I've done a post like this so I thought I would jump right in. Here is a flash of my life the last couple of days and what I'm up to Currently!

Currently Reading  Immortal: A Novel of the Fallen Angels  from J.R.Ward .  This the last book int the Fallen Angel series and when I started this series this one had just come out and I somehow never read it.  The boys and I went to the library this week and I saw it and remembered. I love all the books I've read from J.R.Ward. She does great paranormal books.

Currently loving that my boys love books.  Speaking of libraries I love that when they are tracked out one of the first things they want to do is go to the library.  I'm still a huge fan of real books and being able to curl up and read and I love that they are getting into it too.  I was a little shocked when I realized that C was in the actual kids fiction section and not over in the early readers and picture readers.  When did my little guy get so big.  Time goes so fast.

Currently creating my first Cricut Explore Air 2creation! I'm so excited and went looking around for things to put some vinyl on then I looked over and just had to add a little touch of love to my cabinet.  Since I keep some of my Disney travel supplies in the cabinet it just had to have some love. It is still a learning process and I'm sure to make so many more fun items but I'm so happy with my first one.

Currently smiling when I look at this shelf. In my redo of my craft room I got some new shelves of different sizes up on my new eggplant painted wall. I did not set out to put these on the same shelf but as I was arranging my collection this is how they ended and it just makes me smile so much.  I just love my Tinkerbell and  Bobby Singer . The represent two of my favorite things in Disney and Supernatural and my boys gave them to me for Christmas and I love them. I just can't help by smile.

So that's what I'm Currently into right now. I'm going to go back to watching Grace and Frankie now. I just started season 3 and I'm ready to watch more.  I know I'm a bit late for this season so who all has watched? Did you like it as much as the first two?

Have a great weekend and let me know what you are Currently into!
Jenny
