Peachycheap grab bag Nov 2015

So exciting!!! I opened my mail the other day and had my Padded Flat Rate Envelope from Peachycheap.  I love their mystery grab bags and grab them often when they are posted. Normally I grab the one on Christmas but they had one for Black Friday and I grabbed it too. I will probably get the Christmas one if they have it :)  In case you didn't know Peachycheap is a crafty deal of the day site. The post a deal each day at midnight and its first come first serve.

I didn't take  first look picture but right on top was the red anchor washi and you all know me I love washi and I don't have any anchors so I was happy right off the bat.  I also love October Afternoon and have gotten a couple of their Santa Sacks in the past so whenever I get their goodies I'm a happy camper.  And look at that little deer down on the bottom right!!!  It is just too stinkin' cute.

This bag was $12.99 and then $4.99 for shipping and for that price I am very happy.  While these aren't things I would normally by for myself I love the challenge of thinking outside my normal style and using different goodies to make my pages look different in my books.  Such fun and great quality items to work with in this one.  I'm hoping they do another grab bag on Christmas so I can get another bag of awesome fun.

Have a great and crafty holiday,
Jenny

School Day Fun Scrapbook Page

I'm back again and sharing another page.  N came home from school with paint all over him one day and I said let me take your picture and this is the pose I got. LOL I just kindof love the picture so I wanted to make sure I scrapped it. I did this one the same weekend I was trying to use Project Life cards on full 12x12 layouts so I started with those and went from there.

One of my favorite things about the Stampin' Up Project Life cards are that the colors match out Stampin' Up colors and I can coordinate with other papers, inks ribbons etc. It makes scrapping with them fun and quick.

Happy Scrapping,
Jenny

So Cool Scrapbook page

I just love this page. It really doesn't have a ton of products on it and it was simply and quick to out together but when I see C in his shades and the smile on his face he just looks like he is having so much fun.  Again I used a project life card that I had and then added some retired Stampin' Up designer Series papers. This is some paper I've been holding on to since I love the type font on it but I realized I was never going to make a page where you saw all of the paper so in my attempt to stop hoarding papers for that perfect page I decided to go for it and I'm so glad I did.

I also got to do one of my favorite little scrapbook tricks with the buttons.  I have this thing against naked buttons LOL yes I do not like having the holes in the buttons to have nothing in them.  Sometimes like in this case with the amount of buttons I'm using putting ribbon in them all would make them a little bulky so I snipped some of the leftover designer paper and fed it through the holes.  It really pulls the buttons into the page.

Do you hoard papers for that perfect page? Do you use it and then love what you created?

Happy Scrapping,
Jenny

Friends Forever Scrapbook page

My boys love to play with the neighbors and will be outside with them as soon as they come out and get upset when they go in. One day I just started snapping some pictures of all the fun.

I had a ton of pictures and none of them was really a focus picture so I decided they all needed to just go on one page and that I would do them collage style.  With that decision I started to look at my papers and loved the muted colors in the Sweet Sorbet paper line and added some Kiwi Lane templates to get a little more POP in the pattern.  I also got to use my favorite Summer Starfruit which is now retired. I will say when you look at a sheet of the yellowish green it is not the most attractive color but it goes with so many things I venture to call it a neutral and was sad to see the In Color go out.

Here is another place where I tried something and it didn't work. I wanted to use the thick twine and tried to write Friends with it across the bottom but the twine just wasn't sticking to the glue. I think I tried to make it a little to small. So to cover up all the glue mess I had made I added a little tag and the title really jumps out at you.

Do your kids have those friends that they will play with all the time? Do you ever just grab the camera to snap away and see them having fun?

Happy Scrapping.

Christmas Cookies Scrapbooking Page

Here is another one of the pages I made the other day.

I love the deep richness of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and since this was a day after Christmas it is a beautiful base color. I accented the bottom with some of the papers from the Under the Tree Designer Series Papers.  These pagers are so thick and  beautiful and I'm excited that they were in the new mini catalog.

As with yesterdays page I used the Gold Basic Metal Buttons and since no button holes can be naked I used some Gold Bakers Twine in the holes.

Then look up in the top left. I added a little metallic mini clothespin and some tassles. Guess where I got the tassles from? You got it I pulled the gold form my gold bakers twine and use it. So cute, easy and fun.

Are you enjoying the pages so far?  Be on the look out in a little bit for some more and don't forget to head over to enter my scrappy My Paper Pumpkin Giveaway!!! Can I Go Scrapbook Page

It has been awhile since I've shared anything scrappy with you guys and since I had a chance to crop with my girls the other weekend I decided this was the week I'm going to share.  Be on the look out for lots and lots of fun pages and My Paper Pumpkin kits and a new giveaway starting tomorrow. So much fun all in one place how can you stand it. :)

Starting off the week with a cute page of my boys using some of the great new Stampin' Up Designer Series Papers and some bright colors.

The Paper is from the Park Lane Designer Series Paper pack which I accented with Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight solid papers.  For some reason this page also screamed gold to me so I used some of the new Basic gold Buttons and since no buttons can have naked holes I tied some simple linen thread in there.

I'm really trying to be better at adding a date to all my pages or at least a month and a year. This will really help me when I go to put them in an actual album and I'm not trying to peel up the picture to see the date on the back. I'm not a huge journaler so this is something I am working on.

Have you made anything crafty recently? What is it? If you are interested in any of the products I used above or in getting any other of the great new Stampin' Up products I will post the itemized list below. You can always shop in my store through www.jennylouthan.stampinup.net and check out my facebook page at Jenny Louthan Stamper.  I post specials and discounts there as soon as they are available so it is the first place to stop and see what is going on.

Have a great week and keep crafting,
Jenny
